Six outstanding graduates from AGSM and UNSW Faculty of Commerce and Economics (FCE) recently featured in BRW's Fast 100 list of Australia's fastest-growing businesses.
Benthic Geotech, whose CEO is AGSM alumnus Peter Williamson, was ranked the fourth fastest growing business in Australia. "We have a combination of very good people and a technology that has very significant advantages over traditional incumbent technologies in a strong and growing market," said Mr Williamson, whose company experienced a turnover growth of 362%. "We expect our growth to continue along its current trajectory for the next four to five years."
Atlassian Software Systems, established by UNSW FCE alumni Scott Farquhar and Mike Cannon-Brookes, ranked tenth on the list. Atlassian provides enterprising software solutions to multinational companies including ABN AMRO, 3M, Fujitsu and Nokia.
FCE alumnus Craig Dunstan is Managing Director and founder of MacarthurCook, an investment management company ranked sixteenth. "Our success stems from diligently researching the market for business opportunities and having detailed plans to execute well. We have a cohesive team and are not afraid to expand to overseas markets," said Mr Dunstan.
GLiNTECH, an IT services consultancy, whose Managing Director is AGSM alumnus Dimitri Spyridopoulos, ranked nineteenth in the BRW list. Desma Spyridopoulos, an FCE alumna, is GLiNTECH's co-founder. "We attribute our success to establishing strong customer relationships and delivering solution-based projects. Future development plans for GLiNTECH include expansion to the UK and Asia," said Mr Spyridopoulos.
M2 Telecommunications ranked seventy. FCE alumnus Vaughan Bowen is Managing Director of the IT company which appeared for four consecutive years in BRW's Fast 100. M2 provides telecommunications services and IT solutions to clients across Australia and New Zealand.
