GLiNTECH Shows Team Spirit by Donating to Sick Kids Hospital
Sydney, 17 July 2007 – A desire to help seriously ill children has prompted GLiNTECH, a professional IT services consultancy to donate a large amount of IT-related entertainment equipment to the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick.

“We learnt that some kids who need extensive treatment are in hospital for months on end and so we wanted to donate computer games and DVD’s to help them pass the time and to make receiving treatment less scary and more fun!” says Desma Spyridopoulos, Director of GLiNTECH.
“This is the second year we’ve made this in-kind donation and we’re confident that it’s an excellent way to make an immediate difference. The kids can use the equipment right away and they see a real benefit,” continues Spyridopoulos.
Moreover, to show their commitment to this cause and to rally the spirit of giving amongst their internal team, GLiNTECH management have advertised that they would double every donation made by a team member, effectively tripling the donation amount.
“Thanks to the spirit of giving amongst our team we’ve been able to donate 15 portable DVD players, 80 new DVD’s, 50 PS2 games and 40 carbon controllers. This should provide the kids with hours of fun and entertainment” explains Megan East, Marketing Manager for GLiNTECH.
“What’s even more exciting is that this year we’ve partnered with the EB Games who have generously provided us with equipment at cost price, which has allowed our donation amount to go even further” continues East.
An annual donation of IT-related equipment is a long-term initiative and commitment made by GLiNTECH.
“We plan to continue this donation drive into the future by looking for new and interesting ways of using IT to help others. As GLiNTECH grows and expands so to will our ability to donate even more” says Spyridopoulos.
