Sydney, 2 August 2006 – An increase in the interest and implementation of emerging, open source technologies has led GLiNTECH, a professional IT services consultancy to appoint Tanguy Crusson, SOA and BPM specialist as their newest principal consultant.
Having worked in Europe and the U.S. on emerging technologies, Crusson has been appointed to GLiNTECH’s Sydney office to focus on their rapidly expanding research and development area within open source technologies.
Crusson says, “Open source helps accelerate the large-scale adoption of innovative technologies due to faster and shorter iterative development cycles, and the involvement of the community for development and testing of the solution at early stages.
“Application servers, Web Services, SOA and BPM are examples of areas where open source plays a major role.
“It is a playground for traditional software vendors to test the reactivity of the market for innovations, as well as a way for customers to leverage the value of technologies in early stages.”
Dimitri Spyridopoulos, Managing Director says, “Crusson’s experience in emerging open source technologies, especially his earlier work with IBM’s Eclipse will contribute to GLiNTECH’s innovative capabilities and offerings. In addition, he’ll help us work towards expanding our global knowledge and exposure.”
“A lot of our clients are heralding the benefits of open source, primarily its related cost savings. By carefully researching and evaluating the most appropriate open source technologies, we’re offering our clients robust solutions at a fraction of the vendor’s price.”
Crusson’s particular interest is in emerging open source technologies such as open source BPEL engines, service containers and scripting languages, which help accelerate time to market in enterprise application development, systems integration, SOA and BPM.
Crusson added, “GLiNTECH is leading an exciting new phase in Australia. I look forward to the challenge of increasing new opportunities within the Australian market.”
Recently, Crusson wrote a detailed, technical white paper about the practical implementation of a BMP system using open source frameworks and highlights the value proposition of such a system. This paper can be downloaded from

Crusson holds a Masters in Computer Systems Engineering from the Ecole des Mines de Nantes, France.
