In this course, attendees will learn how to customise and configure JIRA workflows. Through lecture and hands-on exercises, you'll learn about advanced workflow elements and best practices for configuration. This course discusses workflow components such as statuses, transitions, postfunctions, conditions, validators and best practices for using them. From this, you’ll be able to build more effective JIRA workflows that represent business processes while avoiding common mistakes and utilising all the workflow features available. By the end of the course, you’ll understand workflow terms and concepts, know when to edit vs create a workflow, and how to effectively capture a business process into a JIRA.

Learn how to configure and customize JIRA workflows. You'll learn advanced workflow features and best practices for configuring them. Workflow features include post-functions, conditions, validators and commonly used status and transition properties. You'll be encouraged to find solutions to common requirements coming from real business scenarios that JIRA administrators face on a daily basis. By the end of class, you'll be able to build more effective JIRA workflows by using all available workflow features.

This course is for JIRA users interested in learning the most effective ways to design workflows for their business. This would commonly suit System Admins, Project/Program Managers, Scrum Masters or anyone keen to know more of the advanced features of workflows.
Attendees should have taken the JIRA Administration course, or have the equivalent experience in managing a JIRA instance.
This course is organised and led by Atlassian and their instructors. It's streamed live online and runs for 4.5 hours (web conference, plus hands-on exercises).
