The Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) training is a two day course designed to engage and immerse you in the fundamental principles of Scrum. It offers a wide range of highly practical tactics, techniques and tips that work in the real world.
This course is led by fully qualified and certified expert trainers. It has been designed to be interactive and features a blend of activities, exercises, in-depth discussions and presentation segments to ensure that all learning styles are engaged.
Upon completion of this course, you will have all the knowledge required to sit the CSM exam* - the final step in gaining your ScrumMaster qualification.
What is the Certified ScrumMaster certification?
The Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is the most globally recognised ScrumMaster certification, governed by the peak industry body, the Scrum Alliance.
Home to the largest network of professional Scrum practitioners in the world, the Scrum Alliance applies the most stringent trainer certification process in the industry to ensure that you receive truly world-class Scrum training.
*Please note: The two day CSM training is a prerequisite to the CSM exam. The CSM exam is facilitated by the governing Scrum Alliance and can be completed online. The CSM exam fee is included in the CSM training course, provided it is taken within 90 days of the CSM training, and allows for two attempts at passing.

Who leads the training?
To ensure you get quality coaching, there'll be two instructors on hand to help with your transition to Scrum.
Ilan Goldstein is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and experienced PMP and PRINCE2 Practitioner. Ilan is one of only three trainers in Australia licensed to certify for the Scrum Alliance (the largest body of Scrum professionals in the world) and one of only five CSTs globally to have been invited to write a book for the highly acclaimed ‘Mike Cohn Signature Series’.
Colin Tan is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and illustrator of the 2013 book Scrum Shortcuts Without Cutting Corners. Colin is an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in User Experience and Product Management and Business Analysis.
Both Ilan and Colin are directors of Scrum Australia, a not-for-profit organisation which ran Scrum Australia 2013, Australia's first Scrum-focused event (at which GLiNTECH is also a sponsor).

Who should attend?
Anyone interested in learning and applying Scrum framework to their organisation or project team will benefit from this course. It’s particularly useful for developers, team leads, project team members, architects, coders, testers, IT/Development Managers, Project Management Professionals (PMPs) or PRINCE2 Practitioners.
You don’t need to have any previous Scrum certification in order to attend this course, but you are encouraged to visit the following resources prior to the course (they're short and very helpful):
- Attendees that go on to achieve the ScrumMaster qualification will gain a two year Scrum Alliance membership, giving unique access to a growing community of Scrum practitioners.
- PMPs are eligible for 15 Professional Development Units (PDUs) from this course.
- When you complete your CSM training, you'll also receive a book from the Mike Cohn Signature Series to start your Scrum library.
- Morning tea, lunch and afternoon snacks will be provided.
- Wi-fi access will be available.
