GLiNTECH is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations in a newly created APAC role. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for regional financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, offering strategic financial guidance and supporting the broader global parent company Valiantys, with insightful financial analytics.
In this dynamic role, you will be a part of an international team, reporting to the Group CFO based in France, and serving as a key member of the finance leadership team. Your role will be crucial in managing and overseeing our operations across the Asia Pacific region.
About the role:
As a Financial Controller you will:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, identifying trends, variances and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate provision of required documentation and responses to auditor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements, overseeing the preparation and submission of tax returns and liaising with tax authorities as necessary.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including overseeing treasury functions to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.
- Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and team heads, offering insights and recommendations to drive business performance and growth.
- Supervise, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and software, ensuring they meet the organisation’s needs and are used effectively and efficiently.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, developing and implementing strategies to protect the organisation’s financial health.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and records, conducting regular reviews and reconciliations to maintain high financial reporting standards.
About you:
- Demonstrable expertise in Netsuite or other large-scale enterprise accounting and reporting systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian accounting principles, financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Extensive experience working with an international Finance team with an added advantage for those familiar with tax and compliance regulations in APAC e.g. NZ, Singapore or India.
- Proficiency in accounting and CRM software and reporting: Xero, Salesforce and Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, partnered with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including the due diligence process, is highly valued.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
Must have:
- CA or CPA qualifications.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role or as a Senior Accountant or higher at one of the Big Four accounting firms.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting for Services Firms and/or Value-added Resellers.
- Experience working in a foreign-owned entity, with a strong ability to translate local financials for global reporting in line with international accounting standards.
- Full-time work rights in Australia.

After being shortlisted, you will receive a phone call so we can get to know you beyond your application. If you are successful to go to the next stage, you will be invited to attend a Zoom interview with HR and the Hiring Manager.
In this interview we will share our company vision, culture and team dynamics. We will chat about the position, opportunities for growth and hear from you more about your experiences and skills, why you are a good fit for this role etc. If we are all happy to progress to next stage, you will then have the opportunity for a 2nd interview.
This 2nd interview is about the technical aspects of the role and your experience. A team member, the Hiring Manager and a Director will attend this meeting and if successful, an employment offer will be made within 72 hours.
