Systems Administrator - Sydney

As a Systems Administrator at GLiNTECH you will oversee server and application deployment as well as maintenance for our in-house and client projects. You will provide input on and execute security and deployment practices, scaling and metrics, as well as running general day-to-day server management. Part of this role includes scripting and automating these tasks and maintaining existing scripts and systems.

You must have the ability to think quickly on your feet and respond diligently to on and off-duty alerts. GLiNTECH is committed to growth. About You:

  • Working experience with Linux/UNIX/POSIX systems tooling
  • Solid experience in systems engineering / administration
  • Understanding of configuration management tools and principles
  • Exposure to dynamic / interpreted programming languages (such as Bash, Python or Perl)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant degree or TAFE diploma

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Familiarity with common open source web service infrastructure
  • Exposure to continuous integration systems
  • JIRA, Confluence, Git, Docker, Puppet, Java, Javascript experience all highly regarded.
