Graduate Support Engineer

Our Graduate Program is designed as an entry-level development initiative to enhance the knowledge and skills of graduates in the IT Solution & Services industry. Structured around GLiNTECH’s business units and teams, the program offers a diverse range of development experiences.

These experiences serve as opportunities for graduates to learn and grow, with support and encouragement from employees across all levels of the organisation. Serving as the initial step for graduates to establish a successful career in the industry, the program provides a platform for both personal and professional development.

GLiNTECH is looking for a recent and upcoming graduate to join our high performing Managed Services team in Sydney. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and knowledge as a graduate support engineer in a commercial environment. Working alongside a dedicated team of support engineers, you will be learning how to deal with tickets and interact with clients.

About the role:
As a member of the Managed Services team, you will:

  • Collaborate with senior support engineers to provide ticket-based, email and phone support to our partners, clients and staff around the Atlassian tools and supporting infrastructure.
  • Learn to triage and resolve support requests.
  • Handle Level 1 tickets including queries, incidents, problems, planned changes and larger projects.
  • Learn to apply best practice and standard methodologies for implementing solutions.
  • Assist with recommending solutions and best practices to a problem considering the customer instance and application limitations.
  • Assist with creating scoping documentation from requirements gathering sessions.
  • Develop expertise across the suite of Atlassian tools and common marketplace apps.
  • Contribute to the GLiNTECH knowledge base.

About you:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • The right to work full-time in Australia.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work under supervision and deliver project modules with guidance.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Shows initiative, problem-solving abilities and work ethic.

About our Graduate Program:

Ideal for recent graduates or those in their final year of Software Engineering/Computer Science studies, with a prospective start date in July. This permanent development program will support you to build your career through role-specific learning. Though we offer flexible work options for staff, the graduate program begins in person and then can transition to WFH (on a case by case basis) if required.

Our Hiring Process:

After being shortlisted, you will receive a phone call so we can get to know you beyond your application. If you are successful to go to the next stage, you will be invited to attend an assessment at our Sydney office.

On assessment day, we will share our company vision, culture and team dynamics. We will chat briefly about the position, opportunities for growth and hear from you more about your experiences and skills, why you are a good fit for this role etc. As part of the hiring process, you would be given a task to assess your interpersonal skills, communication skills, problem solving skills etc.

Candidates who progress to the final stage are the ones who would be invited for an interview at the Sydney office.
