Navigating Atlassian's 2024 Data Center Price Increases & Server End of Life

Atlassian recently announced some changes to their Data Center List and Advantaged pricing plans, which will come into effect on 15 Feb 2024 PT. As this date is fast approaching, we have identified a list of questions and answers that will assist you in how you can manage the upcoming changes and our recommendations on next steps.

What is changing?

Effective 15th February, Atlassian will make the following changes:

Data Center List price plans:

Jira Software

500-1,000 users - 5% average increase
1,001-5,000 users - 10% average increase
5,001+ users - 15% average increase

Jira Service Management

1-250 agents - 5% average increase
251-1,000 agents - 10% average increase
1,000+ agents - 15% average increase

Confluence

500-1,000 users - 5% average increase
1,001-5,000 users - 10% average increase
5,001+ users - 15% average increase

Data Center Advantaged price plans:

Jira Software increasing by an average of 25%
Confluence increasing 10-27% and will reach list price

As a reminder to our customers still on server licensing, that Atlassian and Marketplace partners will no longer provide technical support, security updates, or bug fixes for vulnerabilities on server products or apps after February 15, 2024, at 12am PT.

Am I Impacted by this change?

You will be impacted if you are:

A current Data Center customer on list pricing
A current Data Center customer on an advantaged price plan for Jira Software or Confluence
Still on Server licensing

How do I know if I'm on an advantaged pricing plan?

If you're not sure of your current price point, your GLiNTECH Account Manager can advise you of your plan and any upcoming increases.

What options do I have?

You have three options!

Option 1: Renew/purchase your Data Center licenses now

If you wish to renew or purchase your Data Center licensing before the price increase, let us know and we'll provide you with a quote at the current pricing. To lock it in, you will need to issue a purchase order by 14 March 2023 and make payment within net 7 days.

Option 2: Renew/purchase you Data Center licenses for up to 24 months

To lock in the current pricing, you can request a 24 month quote for new Data Center licensing and renewals (Atlassian quoting terms and conditions apply).

Is there anything else I should know to secure current pricing?

Ensure all Data Center quotes and changes required (including technical contact details) are requested by 12 Feb 2024
Any changes requested on quotes after 15 Feb 2024 will activate new increased pricing.
