Employment Type: Permanent Full-time Position
Location: Australia-wide
- Are you an accomplished SDLC and Developer Experience consultant with the technical depth to shape strategy and lead complex delivery?
- Can you influence senior leaders, build trusted client relationships and turn engineering performance into measurable business outcomes?
- Are you excited to grow a best-in-class consulting practice, own the commercial outcomes and ready to define new offerings across DevOps, AI and software delivery transformation?
GLiNTECH, a Valiantys company, is seeking a Principal SDLC Transformation Consultant to join our Transformation Consulting team.
This is a senior role spanning strategic advisory, consultative sales and practice growth. You will lead complex transformation engagements, develop scalable offerings and shape how we deliver services that improve developer productivity, delivery speed and software quality. Working closely with Sales, you will help create opportunities, strengthen client relationships, take ownership of the commercial outcomes and scale our consulting capability.
About the role:
As a Principal SDLC Transformation Consultant, you will:
- Own end-to-end SDLC transformation engagements, from assessment and strategy through to implementation, adoption and measurable outcomes.
- Own team utilisation targets while balancing billable delivery, presales and practice-development responsibilities.
- Shape GLiNTECH’s SDLC transformation approach by defining new offerings, methodologies, playbooks and reusable assets.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client leaders and act as a strategic advisor on software delivery modernisation.
- Mentor consultants, share delivery insights and raise capability across the wider Consulting team.
- Use software delivery benchmarks including release cadence, lead time, change failure rate and service restoration to diagnose friction, accelerate time-to-value and demonstrate transformation ROI.
- Design improvements across engineering workflows, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, release management, testing practices and developer tooling.
- Apply AI-powered development tools and automation to improve productivity, quality and delivery performance.
- Facilitate executive and technical workshops, translating complex challenges into practical transformation roadmaps.
- Define engagement objectives, success measures and governance while ensuring solutions align with security, compliance and enterprise architecture requirements.
- Guide clients through capability development, adoption and organisational change.
- Partner closely with Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from qualification and discovery through to solution shaping, estimation, proposals and account growth.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and contribute to the practice’s revenue, scale and growth goals.
About you:
We welcome candidates from SDLC transformation, DevOps, platform engineering, engineering excellence, Developer Experience and technology consulting backgrounds.
You will bring:
- Strong technical expertise across CI/CD, branching strategies, developer portals, toolchain integration and software quality engineering.
- A deep understanding of software delivery performance measures and how to use them to build transformation roadmaps and quantify business value.
- Strong commercial acumen, with an understanding of pipeline, revenue, margins, utilisation and account growth.
- Proven ability to lead complex engagements and influence C-suite and senior technology stakeholders.
- Experience turning consulting expertise into repeatable offerings, methodologies and intellectual property.
- Practical knowledge of AI-powered development tools and their application in client environments.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a collaborative approach to leading change and developing others.
Must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- 8+ years of consulting experience with a strong track record of leading complex SDLC, DevEx, DevOps, platform engineering or technology transformation engagements.
- Demonstrated success in strategic advisory, client delivery, presales and business development.
- Strong stakeholder-management, facilitation and executive communication skills.
- Full-time work rights in Australia.
Highly regarded:
- Experience with the Atlassian ecosystem, and its application to SDLC modernisation.
- Experience working across global or multi-region consulting environments.
- Experience developing thought leadership, service offerings or market perspectives on AI-powered software delivery.
